Gaps

Achievement Gaps: The difference in academic performance between groups of K-16. Data is disaggregated by cultural variables including ethnicity/race, gender, social class, disability, language, sexual orientation, gender identity/expression, etc. All K-16 schools have achievement gaps.
Opportunity Gaps:
The difference in resources given to K-16 students in quality of instruction, teachers, honors/AP/IB curriculum, school counseling program with specific ACCESS/academic, career and college competencies, high expectations, and opportunities that impact the student who graduates from college and accesses the widest range of careers paying a living wage.
Attainment Gaps:
The difference in who receives college diplomas and who does not, based on disaggregated data by ethnicity/race, gender, social class, disability, language identities, sexual orientation etc.

Funding Gaps:
The difference in dollars per student on education in poor versus wealthy districts, which increases the likelihood of the other three gaps for students living in poor and working class neighborhoods.
